What does the clinician portal include?

MDT AI Analysis

Five independent AI agents analyse each assessment from different clinical perspectives — psychiatry, clinical psychology, speech and language, occupational therapy, and educational psychology — then cross-review one another before reaching a consensus formulation.

Multi-Informant Evidence Collection

Gather corroborating evidence from parents, partners, teachers, and siblings. Each informant completes a tailored assessment, and responses are triangulated against the self-report to strengthen clinical confidence.

Real-Time Pipeline Tracking

Monitor each assessment as it moves through evidence extraction, MDT analysis rounds, clarification collection, and report generation. Every stage is logged for full audit transparency.

Clinical Dashboard

View patient referrals, assessment progress, generated reports, and MDT consensus outcomes from a single interface designed for clinical workflows.

Clinical-Grade Reports

Generated reports include structured evidence mapping to DSM-5 criteria, differential considerations, support recommendations, and clear confidence ratings — ready to inform your clinical judgement.

Data Security & Compliance

All assessment data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Role-based access ensures clinicians see only their own patients. No data is sold or shared with third parties.

How does the MDT AI analysis work?

Clay illustration of clinical organisation and workflow

When a patient completes an assessment, AskSheldon runs a five-stage clinical pipeline. First, structured evidence is extracted from free-text responses and mapped to DSM-5 criteria. Five AI agents then independently analyse the evidence from distinct clinical perspectives before cross-reviewing one another's conclusions.

If the panel identifies gaps, clarification questions are generated and sent to the patient. A second MDT round integrates the new evidence and produces a final consensus formulation with confidence ratings, differential considerations, and support recommendations.

The entire pipeline is logged and auditable. Every piece of evidence is traceable back to the original response, and every agent's reasoning is recorded so you can see exactly how conclusions were reached.

Did you know? AskSheldon's five-stage MDT pipeline mirrors the structure recommended by NICE CG142 and CG128 for multi-disciplinary autism assessment: evidence extraction, independent analysis, cross-review, clarification, and final formulation with quality review.

Pipeline Stages

  1. Evidence extraction and DSM-5 mapping
  2. MDT Round 1 — independent analysis and cross-review
  3. Clarification collection from patient
  4. MDT Round 2 — final formulation with new evidence
  5. Quality review and report generation

For NHS and private providers

AskSheldon is designed for both NHS and private diagnostic services. The platform reduces pre-assessment administrative burden by gathering structured patient information and informant evidence before the clinical appointment, giving you richer data to work with from the start.

For NHS trusts managing long assessment waiting lists, AskSheldon can serve as a pre-assessment triage tool — helping identify patients who may benefit from prioritised assessment and ensuring that clinical time is spent where it matters most.

Private clinicians can use the platform to streamline their assessment workflow, reduce report-writing time, and provide patients with a structured, transparent assessment experience.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AskSheldon clinician portal free to use?

The clinician portal is currently available at no cost during our early-access period. We are working with NHS trusts and private providers to establish a sustainable pricing model. Clinicians can register and begin using the platform immediately.

How does AskSheldon integrate with existing clinical workflows?

AskSheldon is designed to complement, not replace, your existing assessment process. You can invite patients via email or referral link, and they complete structured assessments in their own time. The resulting MDT analysis and evidence reports are available in your dashboard and can be exported as PDFs to include in existing clinical records.

Is AskSheldon aligned with NICE guidelines?

Yes. The assessment framework is built around NICE CG128 (autism in children and young people), NICE CG142 (autism in adults), and NICE NG87 (ADHD). Evidence is mapped to DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, and the multi-informant approach reflects NICE recommendations for gathering developmental history from multiple sources.

How is patient data kept secure?

All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols. Assessment data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, which maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. Clinician accounts use role-based access control, ensuring you only see data for patients referred to your practice. We do not sell or share patient data.

How do I refer a patient to AskSheldon?

From your clinician dashboard, generate a referral link or send an email invitation directly to your patient. They will be guided through account creation, the relevant assessment, and optional informant invitations. Once the MDT pipeline completes, the full analysis appears in your dashboard.
